A teddy Bears PICNIC!!!

Today we organised a teddy bears picnic for a very special 2 year old! It was so much fun, but also very busy! With the party staring at 11am we were short on time to organise and prepare everything but it all came together just perfectly.

Colourful streamers, lanterns, and a custom made birthday banner running from the trees added colour to an already lush garden yard.

Along side that was the delicious chocolate fish (which is always a favourite), a lollipop tree, gourmet jelly beans, and marshmallows. All of which was suited to go with jelly, ice cream, and birthday cake, YUM!

The result was a dessert table suited perfectly too young children, and adults, as there was bound to be something for everyone.

Ohh and did I mention the cake?? Inspired by SugarEd productions  Easter bunny cake https://www.facebook.com/pages/SugarEd-Productions/288797535998#!/photo.php?fbid=10150691927670999&set=a.288856760998.146978.288797535998&type=1&theater  we made this birthday cake Shaped in the Birthday girls first letter of her name (M), and covered it completely in hand cut, multi coloured blossoms. You can tell we spent many hours working to achieve such detail and we along with the guests were so pleased with the results!

We also made custom favour gifts which contained a toy to play with and a takeaway package for left over treats. This was all summed up by a cute little poem.

"Thanks for coming over today, heres a toy for you to play. and when you leave if you wish, use this as a take home dish" - The Candy Stand

We also decorated the property with unique signs such our handmade 'no bear hunting' sign. After all a bear must at all times must be protected whilst attending a teddy bears picnic, you would not want to endanger some of your most important guests!

With a fabulously warm day, great company, and some classic kids games (which adults can play too) you have yourself a party worth remembering!
We absolutely loved the results that we achieved and enjoyed every aspect of creating this teddy bears picnic birthday party for a special 2 year old.

Well, we have been busy.
Its Makenzies 2nd birthday this Sunday.... And i wasn't really all that prepared for it!!! BUT it will be fab! We have alot of cute things planned for the little kiddies.
As well as that my partner and i have been working late into the night to get our website up and running!! I am so excited that its all live now! feels like such an accomplishment , we have been working on this for the last 2 months!!!
Now that's it live all i need is some customers.... go check it our and share it with your friends!!!

Hello, Hello

Its been a while since i blogged. So just thought i would write eveyone a quick wee note while Makenzie is alseep.
Its been busy at The Candy Stand, im currently working on our pamphlet and getting more business cards printed, taking photos, making tags etc etc

I have also been making up favor boxes to go upto a wedding venue for their display table!!! That has been heaps of fun, i cant wait to hear the feedback!! As well as working on a couple of lollipop trees for EZ Events Ltd - The girls over there really like their pink!!!

And the most exciting thing of all
OUR very own website is been set up!!! I will have a wee Candy Stand shop before you know it :D

Bows, Bows, and more Bows

A friend popped over yesterday to offer me some helpful advice.

I was excited to find out she has previously been a flourist!! So we sat down for half an hour or so and she taught me how to tie a few bows. After she left i got myself comfy on the couch, and surround myself with ribbon. Ahhhh it was so much fun, but cleaning up the mess wasnt.
You really don't want to see my kitchen, there is over 30 bows in there, and with each other i get better and better - I'll be a pro before i know it.

Now i just have to go out and get some pink ribbon and i can start tying some nice fancy bows for a wee girls 10th birthday gift basket :+)

Love Sweet Love

It's nearly valentines.... I wonder what Mr S is going to get me?!?!
I'm not so with my own surprises, but i am good at making them for others.

Over the last few weeks i have been working on a few rose bouquets, valentines being a time of giving special treats for loved ones but the valentines gift that i am most excited about is for a very special 11 year anniversary!!! I cant wait to show you photos of this one!!!

Well back to work xoxo - Aalthough i shouldn't call this work, its way to much fun!

EXCITING!!

Morning everyone!!

Renees wedding is tomorrow, and we are busy finalising the last wee bits for the candy buffet. As well as heading over this afternoon to help with the set up of the venue!
Its all very exciting, although im sure for the bride and groom nerves are starting to kick in!!
It will all turn out perfectly though.

Ohh and guess what.....
I'm starting something new and exciting next week!
I dont want to ruin the suprise... but i can tell you i will be using chocolate moulds! :-D
